“Liiiooon!” (hands up acting like hunting paws and with distorted faces)
“Bbiiirrrd!” (hands on side ward position waving like flying birds)”
“Elephaaaant!” (hands emphasizing the tusk following an imaginary long and curved pattern)
“Duck!” (hands at the back with bended knees and swinging hip)
“Fiiiissshh!” (hands with closed palms together swaying gently like fish in the sea)
And… “Tiger!?” No, no, no, it was only Kuya Rudolf’s game.
This is one of the most amusing game Tito Mighty had shared with us during our first fellowship last June 8 (Sunday). And this game, I think, was the most dazzling experience I will not forget. It could be like a kindergarten’s game at first but, as I go with the course, I became conscious how it brought myself out from the crust. Everybody was alive and in high spirits. I just realized how doomed I am if I missed out that very SPECIAL event in CLP.
A big plus on that night was the moment when all of us shared their first impressions to everyone which had given us the chance to know who we really are on every eyes’ first glance. And I had been keeping the bond paper where those first impressions like quiet, shy pero ok kasama, persevere, eager, jolly, serious, masunuring bata, at malihim were written. I was happy knowing that I had been weighed up correctly. Wow! But the most remarkable with them was the impression of Tito Mighty which is “malihim”. We were free to make some comments, reactions, etc so I grabbed the opportunity to ask why and how “malihim” personality made its space on my list.
I just smiled and deep within me, I was shouting “Very well said!”. I’d never expected that someone could assess and pick the deeper most personality I have. That was so amazing. Two thumbs up, Tito Mighty!
I enjoyed every single flash of that night (Except the swimming, hehe. I like swimming, but swimming doesn’t like me). I remember my first ever RIDE in a motorcycle with Kuya Jonathan and Seven, the SOUVENIR I got from the curtain holder (that was a big OUCH! Thanks for the treatment Tintin had offered me), the TRAGEDY of Ate Rhona (The MOTORCYCLE CRIME with POOR GREENS in the yard), the CRAVING chops for Tito Mighty and Tita Tess’ sinigang on our dinner which started at already 10 o’clock in the evening, the breaking record in VIDEOKE of Kuya Rudolf, the game for CONCENTRATION which made my concentration rumbled at first (haha!), the PERSPIRATIONS brought to us by the games (I was frequently caught as “taya”), the CLOSENESS I made with Tintin (Liit, as called by Tito Mighty), the POSES in front of cams, the sprouting LOVE TEAM of Sis Tintin and Brother Robert (Uuuyyy! Joke), the beautiful FIREWORKS from Enchanted Kingdom, the SHARED BEDDINGS with Sis Maitha and Sis Rose, the EYEBAGS from almost four o’clock in the morning sleep and the FREE tricycle ride from Sta. Rosa to Mahogany Village (c/o Tito Mighty).
Honestly, the initial mood I had on that time was not that fine simply because I am not comfortable with the set-up. It was the very first case in my life to have an overnight activity with new faces and with new agenda. Overnights I had before were generally for school projects, thesis and hanging out with my buddies when there were birthdays to celebrate. It was really different from the usual pattern I knew. But, I should discern things that would cross along my way and if these things could make a big difference then, I would be very willing to adjust and somehow fix the old MJ’s pattern and break the crust for the new spirit to come.
