“Kung kami lang ng Tita nyo ang pamimiliin, mag-goglobal kami!  At least don wala na kami hawak (referring to SFC)!”

These statements caused so much pain in me to hear considering that members have not decided yet where to go.  True enough many souls where lost along the way looking for refuge, and I can’t blame my siblings to rest where their parents were.

“Tito, mag-goglobal ako!”

“We settled on mountains but waves still reached us.”

I DIDN’T FIGHT ALONE!

I didn’t know where exactly Tin-tin was at that time.  What I exactly recalled was she made a stand to be with me in my battle few weeks after.  Tin-tin for quite a time was my partner in the GK service.  I have no idea if I influenced her with her decision.  What I’m fully aware was the fact that Tin-tin went through with somehow the same battle, fighting for the service over her family’s concerns against it.  Tin-tin was indeed a refuge, a haven where I find my weary soul’s rest.

Seven, coming from a long rest in the service, volunteered to be part of us.  Doubting his motive at first, I came to realize his purpose to play.  I would say, his come back was just right and perfectly on time, when we need another soul to comfort and affirm us.

“Kung saan ka bro, dun ako!”, as if Jon owed loyalty to me.  It was touching to recall that one of my lower household members took the risk to go against the wave.  A man of conviction, Jon didn’t bother to experience the “hard times” in service early on.

Even with four great heads (actually 5 including Kiko) the battle wasn’t smooth-sailing.  We settled on mountains but waves still reached us.

Approaching Rudolf was initially thought to be futile.  From a long rest in service, not much idea or better yet concern on what’s going on with the Community, Tin-tin and I realized we’re absolutely wrong!  Rudolf was already on his steps back to service, waiting for someone to fetch him up and we’re lucky to have him joined us in a joy trip, just right in time!  Indeed, Rudolf with his guitar, serves as an “epoxy” or a “mighty bond” that brought the five of us together…never as bonded as we’re right now.

The next waves were history.  Rona joined us.  Sherwin responded to the invitation.  Charie said “yes” to the call.

and the door will be opened to you.”

LOOKING FOR “MOM” AND “DAD”!

“Tito Benjie Ramirez(of CFC Cabuyao Chapter 4), me favor po ako!”  The next thing I recalled was the tears started to flow uncontrollably from my eyes.  I felt like a kid longing for my parents.  When I saw Tito Benjie I can’t help but cry seeing a foster father who I knew was capable of extending comfort to my weary soul.  Then I got to encounter Tito Boyet Zotomayor who promised to assist in looking for couple coordinators for us.  The waiting period was long and exhausting, but it paid off.  Tito Mighty and Tita Tess Mateo came.  Our world for a moment was shaken totally.  Their vibrancy, enthusiasm, and pro-activeness in the service were truly overwhelming. Truly as written in Matthew 7:7 - "Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened to you.”

DREAM AND LIVE WITH IT!

In my journey I realized a very important thing, which fueled me up and brought to me to where I am now, to where we are now.  Useful inventions that we are all benefiting to this date came to exist from an inventor’s simple desire to bring change and better the way we do things.  Truly, the “revived” and “rejuvenated” Cabuyao SFC chapter will never exist without a simple, yet collective dream.  And like what God did, His plans didn’t remain plans, He made sure to make them into reality.
