Through it all...
By sis Maitha Tolentino

“You are forever in my life,
You see me through the seasons…”

This has been the most difficult week I've had in many years. My mind is so much pre-occupied with the things I have to do and the right things I should be doing this New Year. I have new expectations, new pressures, and new responsibilities. I need to focus on my career and the opportunity to be more independent from family.  New changes indeed and because of this I haven't quite done my devotion lately. I’m so bad, I know but not until last night when a friend of mine texted me (thanks Celine) and her message made me realized that I've been so stubborn lately.

This was her text message:

Greetings!
To: You

From: God

Date: Today
Subject: Yourself

Reference: Life

This is God. Starting today, I will be handling ALL of your problems for you...I love you.

  “Cover me with Your hand
And lead me in Your righteousness…”

P.S But remember, if life happens to deliver a situation that you cannot handle, do not attempt to resolve it yourself! Kindly out it in the SFGTD (Something-For-God-To-Do) box. I will get to it in my TIME. All situations will be resolved, but in MY TIME. NOT YOURS. Once the matter is placed in the box, do not hold on to it by worrying about it. Instead focus on all wonderful things that are present in your life now.

“And I look to you, And Wait on you...”

I know that I made a lot of wrong decisions in the past. I failed and I failed God. But God has witnessed every season of my life, he covered me with his hand and I believe that he will lead me in his righteousness. All I have to do is to focus on him alone because he'll never let me go. “Through it all...”

“I will sing to You, Lord
                  A hymn of love
For Your faithfulness to me

God has been so faithful to me. He gave me an unexpected person, a lover and a friend. He gave me immediately a new job after I resigned with my previous job. He gave me my SFC family (thanks tito and tita for always being there). He gave me enough finances to travel with the best people on earth and lastly and the most important -
I have a complete and supportive family.

                                               “I'm carried in everlasting arms
You'll never let me go, Through it all

“God wants me to believe that nothing is impossible with him…”

Deep in my heart there are things that I wish for and I kind of doubt if He will ever give me those things. Not that I’m losing faith or something. God wants me to believe that nothing is impossible with him and this year will still be a year for a lot of blessings and abundance. I’m facing some “giants” now in my life and madadagdagan pa sa coming months. God knows when to fulfill his promise. God never fails and do you know what His promise is??? BELIEVE.

                                                     “Hallelujah, hallelujah…”
